Family Support

All families need help at some time. The Pillager Family Center is available to help families find the services and resources they may need.  We have information and referral help to help families find other organizations that may be able to meet their needs.

Radiothon to End Child Abuse is an annual event in our area to help raise awareness about child abuse prevention. People are encouraged to make pledges and this money goes to area organizations, including the Pillager Family Center, to help end child abuse.

The Pillager Family Center has access to financial funding when grants are available and is able to pool resources with other organizations to help families. These funds are available depending on grants received and the number of people needing help.

Healthy Families Home Visiting Program

Families with children, prenatal through 3 months, have the opportunity to receive free support from our Family Support Specialist. The Family Support Specialist offers access to the Growing Great Kids and Growing Great Families curriculum, as well as a host of other supports.

Beginning prenatally, Growing Great Kids is a comprehensive, evidence-based curriculum that supports the development of nurturing and empathetic parent-child relationships prenatally until your child is three years old.  It does so by focusing on family support, child development and health, concerns parents have, and dynamics of parent-child and family relationships.

Our Family Support Specialist offers invaluable experience, much training, and genuine concern for families and children in the Pillager community. For more information please contact Alex at 1(218) 851-7603.  The Home Visiting Program is funded through grants and generous donations, such as yours.  If you'd like to help this program, please donate now.

The Home Visiting program is accredited by Healthy Families America, a nationally recognized evidence-based home visiting program model.
